We feel that everyone deserves to be taken care of, and we love to cater to Detroiters and people visiting the city of Detroit. Reservations require a credit card hold. Due to the significant financial impact of late cancellations/no-shows, guests must provide at least 48 hrs notice in the case of a penalty-free cancellation/rescheduling. 1 rescheduling within no less than 48 hours is allowed- after rescheduling the deposit becomes non-refundable. If a reservation is cancelled less than 48 hours from reservation time, a late cancellation fee of $25 per person will be triggered, regardless of the reason for cancelling. Reschedulings must be made no more than 14 days from the original reservation. This policy allows us to offer a prix fixe menu experience at a significantly more approachable price than many comparable restaurants in other markets. Unfortunately, we cannot make exceptions to this policy.

Frequently asked questions

  • We offer street parking on Grand Blvd, Beaubien, and Milwaukee. PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN THE OAK & REEL LOT! While the North End and Milwaukee Junction are filled with incredible and inspiring humans, we do exist in a city, and in all cities there are some desperate folks who've hit hard times. Do not leave valuables visible in your car, or you'll risk having it get broken into.

  • While the menu changes frequently, current pricing for 5 courses (with a few added extras) is $95 per person, not including 22% service charge, 6% tax, or beverages. We offer 3 beverage pairing options (wine, cocktail, or non-alcoholic cocktail) as well as wines by the glass and bottle, beer, and liquor/cocktails.

  • Yes. This allows us to contribute a small portion of tips to our kitchen staff in order to help reduce the vast pay discrepancy between the front and back of the house. Additionally, it will allow us to offer health care (through Plum Health) to each of our staff members, at no cost to them. We appreciate your understanding and your help in providing a quality and equitable work environment.

  • Because of our aggressive pricing structure, late cancellations and no-shows are particularly devastating to our business. If your plans change and you (or one of your guests) cannot come, we recommend that you transfer your reservation to someone else. Reschedulings are permitted with a minimum of 48 hours notice. If you discover you can’t make it less than 2 days from your reservation time, one rescheduling is allowed with a $25 per person fee, and the updated reservation must be made for a weeknight within 2 weeks of the original date. Unfortunately, this policy is non-negotiable and exceptions cannot be made.

  • Yes. The reservation is completely transferable. Please note, however, that selling reservations for greater than face value may be illegal in your area. Anyone who purchases a reservation from another patron should take care to ensure that they have a received a formal transfer of the reservation through the restaurant’s official website. Any reservations purchased on the secondary market are at the purchaser’s risk. We cannot accept responsibility for forgeries or misrepresentations.

  • We currently offer ala carte dining on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Additionally, our adjacent Dragonfly bar has small plate offerings and is in the same building at 2929 E. Grand Blvd. Chartreuse (our sister restaurant) is another excellent option for ala carte dining (for Chartreuse reservations, scroll to the bottom of our page and you'll see a link).

  • Freya technically doesn’t have a physical bar, but we do have a full selection of liquor, beer, wine and cocktails from our sister bar next door, Dragonfly, which is our more casual companion available for bar friends.
